We didn't invent yerba mate. We inherited it.

It starts with
Yerba Mate

Centuries before Europeans reached South America, the Guaraní and Tupí peoples of Paraguay, southern Brazil and northeastern Argentina were already drinking Ilex paraguariensis.

It was steeped in a hollow gourd and drawn through a tacuapí — a length of cane, perforated and tipped with woven plant fiber to strain the leaf. Sharing it meant something: welcome, friendship, community.

We changed the format. Not the plant.
